War Horse Movie

Ok, so are you guys ready for a “tear grabber”?  The movie “War Horse” by DreamWorks Pictures will be at the theaters on December 28th.  Directed by Steven Spielberg, it is a tale of loyalty, hope and tenacity set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War.  What an awesome movie.  For anyone who has owned or owns horses, this has got to be a must see.  The trailer has already put me to tears…

“War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure.

I loved the book and I am sure with  Steven Spielberg’s magic of filmaking it will be an amazing movie that will touch the hearts of many people.  Great cinematography and a tribute to all those unfortunate horses who were killed off in the first world war, the last war where horses played a major role.
