Butterscotch arrives…

And so the little one arrives. It was fun to see him meet his new friends. They are a laid back group of guys. It was pretty much only the grey Arabian gelding that came up to check him out and then eventually Canyon, the bay Arabian, that came to say hi. The others just continued on doing their own thing and didn’t even check him out. :) It was interesting to see that the grey was actually the one that put Butterscotch in his place and the grey was the lowest in the pecking order because he had only been with the group for a couple of weeks. Guess he was feeling pretty good about being able to boss someone around. :)

Here’s a little video of his arrival in the herd.

Gothenburg Horse Show 2012

Once again the Gothenburg Horse was held in Sweden.  Some amazing rides both by dressage rider and jumpers.  Wish I could have been there.  Maybe one year I will go. :)  Anyway, here is a little greeting from Camilla Falgén, the owner and designer of Fortis et Liber.  :)

How to free jump a horse : Part 1

Ok, so here we go.  This is Part 1 of how to free jump a horse.  I have decided to divide it into different parts so that you can see how the horses improve and also to show that not everything is perfect.  :)  This was the first time all these horses free jumped.  Now before we start, I have to warn you that you may laugh while watching this.  Let’s just say that we were a couple people short (although Johanna and her dog Guinness came to help out mid-way through).  We had Linda and Gesche helping the horses through the jump chute, me video taping and taking pictures at the same time, my two kids on the side of the arena and of course we had the dogs too.  :)  To see details and pictures about this exercise click here.

Holiday Greetings!

Ok, so I’ve uploaded my new holiday video (on the intro page of the website).  This was done on short notice and I think that it turned out well.  :)  Thank you very much to Rachel Saavedra, Gundi Younger and Mimi Harwell for taking their time to be a part of the video footage.

Little girl with the heart of gold

This cute video proves that anyone can do anything as long as they put their heart to it…
